Head of School Commits to Five More Years of Service!

Mr. Victor Chaltiel, our Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce that the Board has requested that our current Head of School renew his commitment in leading our educational institution. Paul Schiffman, who has served the school since 2006, has agreed to commit to the community for the next five years. In making this request, it was important to the Board that our community have a sense of stability as our school continues to grow and flourish in the Las Vegas Valley.

Under Paul's leadership, the Adelson Educational Campus has grown from 158 students to almost five hundred students. Our campus is a beacon for all independent schools nationwide. The faculty and staff, who have been recruited worldwide are the finest educators in America. Our upper school graduates have gone off to some of the foremost colleges and universities in our great nation and Canada.

Meade Thayer, Director of the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS) said upon hearing of this news, this great news for PNAIS, for the faculty, staff and students of Adelson Educational Campus, and for Las Vegas schools in general. Paul Schiffman will also continue to serve on the PNAIS Board of Governors and will continue in his voluntary role as Chairs and Co-Chairs of Visiting Accrediting Body Teams. During this school year, Head of School Paul Schiffman will serve as the Co-Chair for the Accreditation of the Seattle Academy. During the past school year, the Adelson Educational Campus completed its accrediting process for full status in the educational world.

As Paul reflected on this commitment he said: This is my fortieth year as a professional educator. As many look to retire, for me the best years as an educator are yet to come. My wife Sandy and I are committed to the Las Vegas community for this is our home. We love being part of the Adelson Educational Campus extended family. It is a joy each day to spend my day surrounded by the most wonderful educators and all of our beautiful students.

	Congratulations!
