Upper School

At The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Upper School, our approach to education allows students to see the relationship of all knowledge to life, to moral vision, and to the creation of culture, while teaching invaluable lessons in critical thinking.

In the 2016-2017 school year, the Middle School and the High School were consolidated to create a seamless transition into secondary school education. The Upper School emphasizes a strong core curriculum that will prepare students for college and a life of learning. Small class sizes and a dedicated faculty, many holding advanced degrees in their subjects, ensure that all of our students will be challenged, inspired, encouraged, and supported as they grow into young adults.

A curriculum that includes emphasis on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), a strong athletics program, a dedication to service, a well-developed Jewish Studies component, a state-of-the-art Start-Up Incubator technology lab, and a vibrant fine and performing arts program, further enrich our students’ lives. Our commitment to a drug-free environment helps teens resist peer pressure and make good, healthy decisions.

Our outstanding teachers and staff represent diverse backgrounds but share a common goal — to educate our upper school students to become critical thinkers, caring individuals, and contributing citizens to the world.

Our students graduate as intellectually astute, culturally adept, empathetic young citizens, prepared not only for top universities, but for the significant lives they plan and want to lead. They are ready and eager to change the world for the better.

I invite you and your family to visit our Upper School and see our transformative students and faculty in action. I look forward to meeting you.
