Meet Peter Gordon, New Head of School

Peter Gordon

Peter Gordon was recently announced as the new permanent Head of School for the Adelson School. Peter has over 30 years of experience in education with seven years of experience as a Head of School. Peter is committed to offering students an exceptional education, one rooted in Jewish tradition and values and enhanced by cutting-edge pedagogy. Fostering a school community that is inclusive, encourages open-mindedness, promotes forward thinking and a growth mindset, and where each individual is inspired to do his or her best is very important to him.

Peter was most recently the Head of School at Pardes Jewish Day School, a private, co-educational Jewish day school in Scottsdale Arizona where he oversees instruction and learning, professional development, accreditation, strategic planning, admissions, development and fundraising, marketing and communications, finance, human resources, and community relations. 

Peter served as the Head of Hilltop Country Day School in Sparta, New Jersey from 2015-2017, and from 2005-2015 held positions as the Associate Director of Admissions and Director of Financial Aid and Middle School Director at The Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Peter holds a B.S. in Accounting from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and an MEd from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts with a concentration in policy, planning, and administration. 

Peter is the proud parent of his 10-year-old twins, Noah and Olivia, who are currently in fourth grade.
