Jackie Edery grew up in Israel and later became the Deputy Mayor of Eilat, his adopted city. It was in that city that he started his educational career as a middle and high school teacher as well as a school principal. He was the head of an Israeli school in Nigeria for 9 years and an assistant principal at Ort Eilat High School. After teaching in a couple of Jewish Day Schools in San Francisco, he moved to LA a few years ago where he taught Hebrew Jewish studies and French language. Here at AEC, Jackie will celebrate his 50th year in education. During his long career, he worked within the educational system to embrace Jewish learning and Jewish values as well as striving to inspire his students to do their best. He is uniquely prepared to transfer his love of Israel to students' hearts and minds.
