Having served in the US Army straight out of high school, Frank Browne attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA where he learned Modern Standard Arabic. After serving in the first Gulf War, he attended the University of California, San Diego earning his bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and English. His graduate work at UNLV addressed Literature and Educational Psychology. Frank has taught students from elementary children to adults learning ESL, splitting his career between public and independent schools including the Alexander Dawson School and the Adelson Campus. Frank is a voracious reader and a successful teacher of Honors English, AP Literature and Composition and AP Language and Composition. Additionally, as the founder of Summerlin Tutors, Frank tutors writing, literature, and test prep subjects including SSAT and SAT exam preparation. He is the proud father of a rising seventh grader.
