Sharon holds her BA and M.Ed in elementary education from University of Florida. She spent 3 years teaching in Newton, Massachusetts and 11 years teaching at Sinai Akiba Academy, a conservative Jewish day school in Los Angeles, California. In 2018, Sharon became the Associate Teacher Supervisor. Additionally, she mentored student teachers from the DeLeT Teacher Training program at Hebrew Union College and teachers newly hired to the school. Sharon played an integral role in evaluating, adopting, and implementing new curricula in math, reading, and writing. Sharon specializes in differentiated instruction. She taught advanced math classes in both 4th and 5th grades. Additionally, Sharon created math extensions for the Investigations math curriculum for 1st through 3rd grades. Just prior to joining Adelson, Sharon worked as an Educational Consultant and Coach, working with new and experienced teachers in reading, writing, and math instruction. In addition to focusing on curriculum, she worked with teachers on differentiation, best practices, and the use of formative and summative assessment.
