Sarah is an educator committed to inspiring a love of learning in her students. Using student centered instructional design, she encourages higher order thinking, problem solving, and collaboration in a learning environment where challenges are seen as opportunities for growth and mindset matters. She takes pride in building a positive classroom culture founded on kindness, integrity, and respect; promoting excellence in citizenship as well as academics. Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2013 with a Bachelors in Organizational Management, and returned to Liberty University later that year to pursue her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. In 2016, she began her career teaching second grade with the Department of Defense schools in RAF Lakenheath, England. Then in 2018, she was honored to be nominated for DoDEA West Teacher of the Year. She went on to enhance her skills with graduate level training in Love & Logic, Zones of Regulation, and best practices for student engagement and instructional strategies in literacy, math, and science from University of San Diego. In 2021, she was accepted to Liberty University's Graduate School of Education, and is currently working toward her doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction. In addition to her commitment to her students, she served her last school on the Technology Integration Leadership Team, as PTA Liaison, Gardening Club facilitator, and a community volunteer coordinator. She is thrilled to be part of the Adelson family, and believes that the school’s values and culture reflect the love and commitment shared by its community.
