One of the fundamental tenets of Judaism is social responsibility, whether it is through Tzedakah (doing justice by giving charity), or through Tikkun Olam (fixing what is wrong with the world). At The Adelson Educational Campus students of all ages know they must be guardians of their community and are organizing Tikkun Olam projects throughout the year.
Community service provides students with important opportunities for personal growth and helps them develop compassion and concern for others. Students are encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones, where the greatest possibilities for growth lie. A worthwhile service project can have a deep and lasting impact on one’s own life and the lives of countless others. This is why it is an essential element in an Education for Life.
