Rabbi Pinchos Hecht
Rabbi Pinchos and his wife, Rachel, currently live in Israel and are the parents of five adult children. As he shared, “I grew up in an ultra-Hasidic home, a child of survivors which has had great impact on me. I have moved through my life to the point where I am now—a committed Jew and observant. I think many of the terms that are used divide instead of define. I am very open.”
Most recently Rabbi Pinchos served as Head of School at Atlanta Jewish Academy (2014-2016). He was hired to oversee and implement the merger of two Jewish day schools – Greenfield Hebrew Academy and Yeshiva High School. Previously he served as Head of School at three schools: Scheck Hillel Community Day School in Miami (2010-2014), Fuchs Mizrachi School in Cleveland (2000-2014), and Berman Hebrew Academy (1990-2000).
Rabbi Pinchos received his undergraduate degree from Adelphi University, a Masters in Religious Education from Hebrew Theological College and a Masters in Education from American University.
