  AEC students have a tremendous advantage with access to a best in class 5000 sqft technology lab called the Startup Incubator. Digital media, robotics, 3D printing are signature features, and this year, our 7th graders are engaged in a yearlong series of 3D printing projects connected to their Judaics curriculum. On Wednesday, Second graders went on their first field trip to The Clark County Wetlands Park. The students experienced an immersive, hands on learning experience as they were introduced to the wildlife of the wetlands. They each participated in a scavenger hunt in which they found plants such as the cottonwood tree and desert mistletoe, animals such as a dragonfly and a beaver, and even evidence of animal life such as burrows and coyote scat! This week, our Kindergarten classes continued their study of community with a field trip to Spring Mtn. Ranch. With this experiential learning opportunity our students were able to explore some of the oldest buildings in Nevada, which included a sandstone cabin, blacksmith shop, and the historic ranch house. Pride in Excellence, Community, and Jewish Values   Student Perspective:  During the month of October, our seniors and our administration got together to plan the wonderful tradition known as ‘Senior Sunrise.’ After much planning, our seniors finally got together on the morning of October 24th 2019, to watch the sunrise together on the field. Sukkot Experience Many of our Preschool families enjoyed a wonderful Sukkot Experience on Thursday night. Each grade level had the opportunity to sing Sukkot themed songs and dance with their teachers in front of friends and family. We said the blessing and shook the 4 species (Lulav, Etrog, arava, hadas) together as a community.
