What happened:   TAL BRODY Tal Brody, visited our school on Wednesday and met with High School students during their daily town hall. He is an American-Israeli former basketball player, and current Goodwill Ambassador of Israel. Brody was drafted #12 in the NBA draft, but chose to pass up an NBA career to instead play basketball in Israel.He played on the national basketball teams of both the United States and Israel, and served in the armies of both countries. In 1977, he led Maccabi... 8th GRADE BREAKOUT GAMES Today, AEC Sophmore's hosted the 8th graders in a fun, action filled event, on the soccer field. The two grades took part in a new AEC tradition, the BREAKOUT GAMES, with the objective to have fun and create bonds between the rising 9th graders and the 10th graders to allow the current 8th graders to envision what the high school experience at AEC could be for them. What happened: CELEBRATION OF WRITING The English Department from 3 years old to 12th grade hosted the Celebration of Writing on Wednesday showcasing the amazing ways students engage in writing across the disciplines.  Students read original works, parents learned about the English curriculum in the divisions, and Upper School students and Lower School teachers hosted games with words.  A great time was had by all.  View pictures from the Celebration of Writing event, CLICK HERE.  ... LAS VEGAS JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL Today AEC Middle School and High School students enjoyed a special screening of the film ON THE MAP. This amazing documentary is the true story of the 1977 Maccabi Tel-Aviv Basketball team that made history by beating the Soviet Red Army team and winning their first European title. What Happened MIDDLE SCHOOL WINTER WONDERLAND DANCE The Adelson Campus second floor landing transformed into a Winter Wonderland yesterday, as Middle School students danced the night away (approx two hours). The dance was a semi-formal event and our Middle School students looked amazing all dressed up and it was obvious to everyone how much fun they were having.
