Challenge: How many Styrofoam cups would you have to stack to reach the top of your math teacher’s head? Students were challenged to estimate AEC High School math teacher Mr. Hemsworth’s height (195 centimeters)… using cups. They were given 1cup, then an additional cup, and brainstormed ways to determine how many more they would need. As students enter High School, it can be a scary and intimidating experience for most 14 year olds. At AEC, all 9th grade students had a Survival Kit placed in their lockers to help the transition. What happened CCSD JAZZ FESTIVAL Adelson Lion’s Jazz played their first ever High School Jazz Festival this week and received excellent ratings.  The program here at Adelson continues to grow and thrive!
