HIGH SCHOOL   Today at Kabbalat Shabbat the 4 community cantors joined us to discuss and teach our students songs about Tu B'shevat, which is next week. This Shabbat is called Shabbat Shira (Shabbat of song) because this is the story of the Jews crossing the red sea and singing praise and thanks to G-d.   We loved welcoming the 8th graders to the high school last week for Shadow Day. Congratulations for surviving Final Exam Week!  What I have seen so far has been excellent. I look forward to next year, the year the HS turns “double-digits” (10). So many seniors have gotten into some great colleges and universities already, with more acceptances to come.   Over the past four and a half months America has been my home and you have been my family. UPPER SCHOOL (Grades 6 – 12)   FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE Upper School students recently had a workshop with all Friendship Circle Volunteers to help better understand their role in the Friendship Circle organization.
