SOLAR ECLIPSE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 21
On Monday, students will have the wonderful opportunity to view the solar eclipse here at Adelson. It has been almost four decades since the last total solar eclipse was visible here in the U.S. and our location will allow us to view 72% of the eclipse.

A teenager who never thought he'd play a minute on the court makes a once-in-a-lifetime shot on the basketball court.
Gabriel Hafter is 15 and loves basketball. He also has a rare birth defect that has forced him to undergo more than a dozen surgeries on his face.

Challenge: How many Styrofoam cups would you have to stack to reach the top of your math teacher’s head?
Students were challenged to estimate AEC High School math teacher Mr. Hemsworth’s height (195 centimeters)… using cups. They were given 1cup, then an additional cup, and brainstormed ways to determine how many more they would need.
