Congratulations for surviving Final Exam Week!  What I have seen so far has been excellent. I look forward to next year, the year the HS turns “double-digits” (10). So many seniors have gotten into some great colleges and universities already, with more acceptances to come.   Over the past four and a half months America has been my home and you have been my family. UPPER SCHOOL (Grades 6 – 12)   FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE Upper School students recently had a workshop with all Friendship Circle Volunteers to help better understand their role in the Friendship Circle organization. The Friendship Circle of Las Vegas pairs Jewish teens and children/young adults with special needs in an array of programs to create lasting friendships! MIDDLE SCHOOL We had an exciting Swim Meet on Wednesday, and another one scheduled for this coming Wednesday!  Go Lions!    Middle School students brought in over 260 cans for the annual CAN-STRUCTION contest. We will take them to JFSA Food Bank on Wednesday.   The Mayors Prayer Breakfast is an annual fundraiser held to benefit Camp Anytown. The goal of the breakfast is to bring education and hope to our future generation. The Mayors Prayer Breakfast was founded over 50 years ago when Las Vegas Mayor Oran Gragson attended a President’s Prayer Breakfast hosted by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Growing up in a law enforcement family, Todd Peters always knew that his dream was to pursue a career in law enforment and public safety.  After graduating UNLV with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mr. Peters was hired by the Henderson Police department in 1994 as a patrol officer, working in patrol operations and field training.     Upper School (Grades 6 - 12) High School students enjoyed a very special Kabbalat Shabbat today featuring three community rabbi's from Reform (Rabbi Cohen), Conservative (Rabbi Tecktiel) and Orthodox (Rabbi Rivkin) temples.
