This Week in Lower School 10/23-10/26, 2017

Thursday, October 26, 2017
Tomorrow is Nevada Day, and our students have been celebrating their state pride all week long! Our kindergarten students have been learning about where they are in the world on a macro level (Earth!) and a microlevel (their neighborhood!). This is part of their larger Nevada Unit. They also have been learning about the state bird (Mountain Bluebird), state flower (sagebrush), and other important Nevada facts. They will continue their unit with a field trip to a local ranch.
This week has also seen the close of our first quarter of clubs. Students have been completing projects and getting ready for next week’s club fair. Our Gardening Club has been an essential part of making our new garden a budding success, and they will get a chance to celebrate that at next week’s Shabbat. Our Journalism Club has produced the inaugural edition of “The Lion Paw”, which will be released next week.
