K-5 grade enjoyed a wonderful Hakafot Ceremony for Simchat Torah this morning, where we celebrated the ending of the reading of the Torah and starting again. Our Upper School band and National Junior Honor Society joined us in this wonderful and festive celebration. Each grade level prepared a song as the as the Torah was paraded around the Beit Midrash. Many parents were in attendance and they had an opportunity to parade with the Torah as well. View images, click here.
Preschool Pizza in the Sukkah was a huge success. We enjoyed a beautiful night with families as we sang songs and enjoyed treats in the Sukkah. Thank you to all of the families who attended this wonderful preschool community event. View images, click here.
The 3rd,4th, and 5th grades took a trip to the Smith’s Center for a viewing of Erth’s Dinosaur. The kids enjoyed a brief lunch in the park and then continued on to the show. Erth’s Dinosaur is an interactive show that teaches about pre-historic Australia with an eye-popping collection of amazing life-like dinosaurs. The show was a great historical and scientific experience and the children were happily engaged throughout the entire show. They also learned a variety of vocabulary words and saw puppetry in action. Many of the students wished that the show could have been longer. A big thank you to the Smith Center for this complimentary show for our students.
