This Week in Lower School 11/19-11/21, 2018

Wednesday, November 21, 2018

We would like to wish all of our students, families, faculty, and staff a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We are so fortunate to have been working with such dedicated and loving staff, and to share the joy of educating our wonderful students with their supportive and loving families. Thank you! Toda! תודה
Our Kindergarten - 12th grade students were treated with a visit from six members of The Lion King show, which is currently playing at The Smith Center. Our students were inspired by this professional group of performers, while we drew connections to our own theater arts program. The cast members of Annie were invited on stage to learn a dance number from the show’s “Dance Captain.” The cast members told us about their backgrounds and their journey of becoming professional performers. It was a wonderful treat for the entire K - 12th grade.
Project Chessed teamed up with the first graders for a sidewalk chalk activity.  The 10th graders helped the first graders write thankful messages on the sidewalk in front of the lower school building.  The students were also aided by their teacher, Ms. Novak and Ms. Levy their art teacher.
As our wonderful PTO volunteers are getting ready for the book fair, we would  like to spread the fun and love of reading to kids who are less fortunate than us.
Please support the used/new book drive of 4th grade:
