“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” - John F. Kennedy

We welcomed our veterans to Kabbalat Shabbat today to honor their service. Our choir and third grade performed, emphasizing the service, selflessness, dedication, sacrifice and leadership which veterans embody. View pictures from today's Kabbalat Shabbat.
While elections were taking place nationally, we had our own Student Council elections here at Adelson. Our third, fourth, and fifth graders were involved in the political process of not only voting, but also running for office. Students had the opportunity to run for President, Vice President, Secretary, Public Relations, or Class Representative. Those who ran created campaign posters and gave speeches.
We are so thankful for all the encouragement that parents gave during this process; your children thrived because of it. Leadership is fostered at the Lower School through many opportunities. Chances to be leaders include running clubs, Tikkum Olam, and the Buddy Bench program.
We are happy to introduce to introduce the new student council for the Lower School:
President – Max Berg 5th
Vice President 5th – Ilan Barshishat
Vice President 4th – Zachary Coneh
Secretary – Lexi Walsh 5th
PR – Aiden Mayoral 3rd and Ariel Aizenberg 5th
Class reps:
3rd: Joseph Winger and Darius Naftaly
4th: Evan Leuang and Elliot Harouni
5th: Noya Boldur and Asher Leventhal
As the days get colder, we remind parents how important it is that children have their sweaters! If you think your child may have lost their sweater or jacket, please swing by the Lost and Found in the Lower School Lobby. We have a large collection of items there- such as sweaters, jackets, water bottles, toys, a pair of glasses, and more. Items which are not collected will be donated before Thanksgiving.
