We are so excited to welcome 11 new students and their families to our Lower School! They are a great addition to our AEC family. Please reach out to welcome them.

Shai B., Eytan R., Julian R., Eli C., Jessica M., Mariah B., Liliana P., Elya G., Abby M., Austin K., Ella L.

We would like to thank our PTO and classroom parents for making our new families feel welcomed to the Adelson community.

With the kickoff of the enrollment season this week we are excited to share the wonderful programs for the transitional years: junior kindergarten students are getting ready for kindergarten, and 5th graders getting ready for Middle School.

We believe in creating a thoughtful and smooth path to progress between our grades and divisions. It allows for an easier transition in academics, social, and emotional aspects.

Our JK parents had the opportunity to learn about kindergarten at Adelson on Wednesday evening, during the  From Cubs to Lions event. Teachers and administrators spoke about what they could look forward to and expect as kindergarten parents, how well prepared their JK students are, the similarities and differences between JK to K, and watched a fun video starring our current kindergarten students. PLAY VIDEO.

JK students and families are invited to join K-5 students for a special Shabbat on 1/26 at 8:00am to celebrate Tu B’Shvat with our Lower School. Our first graders will be doing a special performance to celebrate spring in Israel.

Our fifth graders will be taking their first middle school field trip on 1/30 with an exciting journey to Mt. Potosi. They will be joined by the sixth graders and middle school teachers. Students will be hiking the Calico Basin, bonding with peers, and experiencing a truly unique camp experience with older students. Our fifth graders will be back at night, while their sixth grade peers stay overnight.

We are getting ready to observe Tu B’Shvat, the birthday for the trees, celebrating growth, life cycles, and nature. We are thankful to take part in the growth of our students as well.
