Attorney General Visit
This week, our 5th grade students had two very special visitors. As part of their unit on government, Nevada Attorney General and former Nevada State Senator Aaron Ford and his First Assistant Kyle George (father of 5th Grade student Mackenzie) spent time with our 5th graders. They spent an hour discussing the U.S. Constitution and the branches of power that make up our government.
Preschool Igloo
In Preschool, our classes are learning about the Winter season. The Green Frogs set up a life-size igloo made out of recycled plastic bottles to simulate the snow huts that served as shelters for the Inuit people of Canada during cold winters. All of the preschool classes were invited to visit the shelter this week.
Cooking Class
Chef Aubrey’s cooking class has been working up some wonderful creations on Monday afternoons. This after school enrichment program gives students the opportunity to experience hands-on cooking led by our very own Chef Aubrey. On some occasions, the Monday cooking class will prepare foods that are served to our students during lunch.
