Today, fourth grade students bonded with fifth graders for a fun and sweet event: A Taste of 5th Grade. Fourth graders were able to ask questions about what it's like to be a 5th grader, while eating delicious snacks the whole time. To see photos, click here.

Friday, 2/17- NO SCHOOL- Staff Development Day for Teachers
Monday, 2/20- NO SCHOOL- President’s Day
Wednesday, 2/22 - AEC and IAC will host Dr. Rachel Korazin for a lecture on Echoes of the Holocaust in Modern Israeli Literature. The lecture will be from 7:30pm-9:00pm. It's free and open to the community. This is an UPDATED event date. It's changed from Thursday 2/23 to Wednesday 2/22. Same time.
Thursday, 2/23- A Taste of Kindergarten JK: parents will have the opportunity to learn about the kindergarten program. 5-6:15 pm in the kindergarten classrooms (11, 12 and 13)
Friday, 2/24 1st Grade Penguin Exhibit Parents are invited to learn about their student’s penguin, as well as learn from other students about different kind of penguins in the first grade classrooms at 8:45, after kabbalat Shabbat. 1st grade parents are also invited for Shabbat at 8:00am, as the 1st graders will share their penguin excitement with the rest of the Lower School. 3rd grade will perform a song for President’s week on Shabbat.
Monday, 2/27 - 5th Grade Donut Sale in the morning, on the curb/carline.  Krispie Kreme Donuts will be sold for $1 a piece.  Funds raised support the Tikkun Olam projects led by fifth grade.
Monday, 2/27 through Friday, 3/3- Reading Week The theme for this week is “Camping”.  We will have enriching and exciting programs each day to celebrate.  Please see below for dress up day themes.

  • Wednesday - 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins / Wacky Wednesday - Crazy Hair/Hat Day
  • Thursday - Happy Birthday to You! - Favorite Dr. Seuss Character Day
  • Friday - Oh The Places You’ll Go - Travel Day
Purim is coming soon! Save the date for our Purim carnival, costume parade, 3rd Grade Purim Show, and a community Tikkun Olam event ALL on Friday, 3/10. Parents are invited to join the students for shabbat, Purim show, parade and the tikkun Olam project. Students should come in costume and parents are encouraged to dress up too!  More details to follow.
