Kindergarten Field Trip to Planetarium and Earth, Moon, and Sun Performance
After completing a six-week long unit on the earth, sun, moon, recycling, and the water cycle, our Kindergarten students took an exciting field trip to the CSN Planetarium. They had the opportunity to view the movie “The Little Star That Could,” about a little star trying to find his place in the universe. The story teaches us about different kinds of stars, as well as character traits such as determination and perseverance. This trip was followed by a culminating experience of this unit: the Earth, Moon, and Sun show performed by the Kindergarten class. They proudly performed: Here Comes the Sun, Fly Me to the Moon, The Three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) and even Hebrew songs about the sun and rain, to share their learning during this unit, which incorporated social studies, language arts, math, science, technology, art and Hebrew. 3rd Grade Field Trip To Clark County Museum
The third grade traveled back in time when they attended a field trip to the Clark County Museum.  The students were able to see what Las Vegas and the surrounding areas were like long ago. They learned about a Native American tribe that inhabited this area and were able to see what their homes looked like and how they lived.  They also learned about Nevada’s mining industry, railroads, and the homes people lived in during  the 20s, 30s, 40s, and many other interesting facts about our home state.

We are now getting ready for Passover, and are looking forward to sharing a model Seder with our parents. Preschool Seder Flyer | Lower School Seder Flyer
