This Week in Lower School 5/15/2020
It has been a long journey of remote learning, and we are very proud of our students for their resilience and determination through this entire process. AEC teachers have delivered live and pre-recorded lessons daily, and students have met the challenge and continued learning in these unprecedented times. Our specialists have continued to deliver projects, experiments, and lessons that have enriched our students beyond their general studies classrooms. Although - it’s impossible to duplicate the in-school experience in a remote setting, our community has made the best of a difficult situation.
- A $200 grant from Jane Goodall's children’s organization, Roots and Shoots,
- Academic Excellence Award for Grade 2 through the Las Vegas Review Journal. $500 for Mila and $500 for the school.
Thursday, May 14th, marked the last day of our Lower School production of Mary Poppins. Although unable to perform, our current remote learning situation has not broken the spirits of our young performers. The cast has been hard at work, and are producing a neat surprise for friends and families to be presented at our closing ceremony.
