Major Clyde, from Nellis Air Force Base, came and spoke to our Upper School Students about her experiences in the air force as a pilot. The students were fascinated with her story and had many questions for her.
The middle school seminar Slam Poetry was a slam dunk with the students. Ms. Nails and Ms. Joyner inspired great thinking and creativity with our students.
HIGH SCHOOL TRIP
Parent permission forms for the high school trip to Camp Alonim are on your parent portal SFO account. Please make sure to complete and submit the forms by October 24th. THIS TRIP HAS BEEN POSTPONED.
Our 7th and 8th graders are heading to Zion National Park on Tuesday. Students have been anticipating this trip and are ready for the adventure ahead of them.

AEC STUDENT ELISABETH K IN THE NEWS
AEC Senior Elisabeth K was featured on KTNV ABC channel 13 this week. The story showcases an internship which encourages high school seniors to pursue a career in medicine in Las Vegas.

All Adelson students are parents are invited to a presentation by Young Judaea, Israel’s original Gap Year Program, on Thursday, November 8th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Beit Midrash.Young Judaea's Year Course in Israel is the original GAP year program providing an academic partnership with the American Jewish University College in Israel. Our students earn up to 30 college credits. The American Jewish University’s main campus is located in Los Angeles and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Participants on Young Judaea's Year Course in Israel engage in life-changing social action issues, discover projects they care passionately about, and develop the skills to make an impact. They will learn valuable leadership skills to take back to their community and campus, and they will have the opportunity to design and run peer-led projects. Not only does Year Course allow you to customize your year by choosing classes and programs, we also offer specialty tracks and add-ons that give you the chance to make this year your own! Options include Business Track where you learn from the best Israeli entrepreneurs, Medical Track where you become a first responder while working on the Magen David Adom (Israeli Ambulance) and trips abroad to Poland, Greece, Morocco and Rwanda just to name a few.
