UPPER SCHOOL (Grades 6 – 12)
Upper School students recently had a workshop with all Friendship Circle Volunteers to help better understand their role in the Friendship Circle organization. The Friendship Circle of Las Vegas pairs Jewish teens and children/young adults with special needs in an array of programs to create lasting friendships! The majority of volunteers are Adelson Campus students and we are proud to be associated with this team of amazing people.
Exams begin on Monday, December 18th.  For an exam schedule and additional information, please log on to Edsby. Things you need to know:
  • Dismissal each day of exam week is at 12:30.
  • Parents must email or call Ms. Kaufman to give permission to release a student before 12:30.
  • Make-up exams are on Friday, December 22nd.  Otherwise, students should not come to school that day.
  • Free dress according to dress code will be observed next week.
  • AEC laptops must be returned before winter break.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 6 - 8)
As part of the tradition of the Hebrew department, our 8th graders participated in the “Top Tabach” (Top Chef) competition. The students worked in groups to create a new recipe for latkes, while using the traditional recipe and adding a secret ingredient. The students had to study all the relevant vocabulary in Hebrew and were judged on three categories: Teamwork, their Hebrew skills, general knowledge about Hanukkah and the taste of the latkes. HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 9 - 12)
No after school study hall next week.  Students should make appointments with their teachers for extra help. Adelson and Meadows high school students joined together on Wednesday night for the Ugly Holiday Sweater Slamapalooza, where they performed original acts and competed in spoken word, dance, and music!  A good time was had by all! If you weren’t able to join us for the Upper School Open House last Wednesday, we invite you to view the videos below to experience the special 20-minute class experiences the upper school faculty created for the event. The classes highlight the collaborative nature in the Upper School, integrating multiple disciplines into one learning experience.
