CELEBRATION OF WRITING
The English Department from 3 years old to 12th grade hosted the Celebration of Writing on Wednesday showcasing the amazing ways students engage in writing across the disciplines. Students read original works, parents learned about the English curriculum in the divisions, and Upper School students and Lower School teachers hosted games with words. A great time was had by all. HONORS COLLEGE ENGLISH
Ms. Joyner's AP Literature & Composition class attended Dr. Beth Rosenberg's (mother of 9th grader, Laurel R) Honors College English class at UNLV on Monday to participate in a discussion on two James Joyce short stories. It was a great opportunity and the students enjoyed getting a first hand look at a college level English class.
TASTE OF HIGH SCHOOL
Taste of High School-Wednesday marked the first day of several during February and March that small groups of 8th grade students shadowed high school students. These students experienced high school classes, break, FLEX, and lunch.

A reminder to parents of current juniors; If you have not already done so, please schedule an appointment with Mr. Girard to discuss the college counseling program as it relates to the second semester as well as your student’s senior year. To all freshmen and sophomore parents; While you may not be prepared to consider your student’s collegiate aspirations, it is not too early to begin planning. Mr. Girard is available to discuss curriculum planning, summer programs, standardized test preparation programs, study abroad options, gap year programs, and a variety of other related topics.
