Pride Period has been full of engaging activities to keep our student’s minds constantly learning.
This week the science department held their Science Gauntlet which included challenges such as using only three index cards to hold a textbook 4 inches off the desk, seashell stacking, the bridge to nowhere challenge and building the tallest structure using only 10 sheets of paper.
Three of our Adelson Seniors will be participating in the MiniMED-Internship Program through the Clark County Medical Society. This experience is a time to not only shadow a doctor for a day, but also affords our students a chance to interact with a doctor and the care team in the physical, intellectual and emotional environment of their medical specialty of their choice. A number of AEC seniors submitted an application as well as a personal statement, and the three seniors chosen by a committee were: Elisabeth Kac, David Poura and Nuriel Sussman. Congratulations to these future medical professionals.
Our highly anticipated Middle School and High School trips are coming soon! October 23-25, 2018, our 7th and 8th grade students will be going on a three day, two night trip to Southern Utah and will visit Sand Hollow State Park outside of St. George, Utah, as well as hike through the majestic Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. On November 7-9, 2018, AEC high school students will attend a three day, two night trip to Camp Alonim in California, with a special guest leader from Israel. Please watch for the permission forms on Edsby next week!
