Pride in Jewish Values
Our Shabbat service was dedicated to Yom Kippur. We enjoyed inspiring words of Torah by Aviel P, and learned the rituals and special songs for Yom Kippur. We wish all our students, faculty, and families a wonderful Shabbat and a meaningful Yom Kippur. Shana Tova and Chatimah Tovah (May you be inscribed in the Book of Life).
Pride in Community
The AEC community is proud to gather again this year for the annual Tashlich Family Tradition this Sunday at Floyd Lamb State Park.  This event is a time for families to learn and experience the traditions related to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. This community event will include a morning stroll, apples and honey, games, art, story time and an opportunity to symbolically cast our sins to the water.  We look forward to our Upper and Lower School communities coming together for this wonderful event.
Pride in Excellence
In an Upper School Hebrew class, students engaged in a meaningful opportunity to explore the concept of what Israel is for them.  After developing their individual thoughts, students represented these thoughts on a hat and presented this in class. On the hats, students included such things as the Star of David, the Hebrew language, love of Israeli music, and different cities in Israel that they may have visited or would like to visit.
