Guest Speaker in AP Psychology and Biomedical Science Class
On Friday, Mr. Sean Fox visited our Biomedical Sciences course and our AP Psychology course. As an engineer with the Henderson Fire Department, Mr. Fox has had a variety of experiences from fires, medical calls to counseling first responders. He shared some of his experiences with us and answered questions from the students.
Guest speaker- Financial Math
Colin Christy from UBS financial spoke to the Financial Math class. We begin a 7-month ‘Stock Market Game’ next week and he advised the class of seniors what to look for when picking valuable stocks. The Stock Market Game gives students a $100,000 virtual bankroll to invest in the Stock Market using real-time pricing.
9th Grade Student Council winner
Student Council held elections for Freshman representative. The two freshmen who ran for the position were Eden Boldur and Judah Hafter. They both gave rousing speeches to their classmates before the final vote. After a very close vote, Eden was elected as the new Freshmen class representative. Congratulations to Eden.
Students in the Middle School have been attending Improv Club on Tuesdays in the library during Pride Period. Ms. Nails leads the group through long and short form games including Zip Zap Zop, Bippity Bippity Bop, Slide Show and more. Improv is an effective way for students to unwind, recharge, and let loose a bit before returning to their afternoon classes.
